The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) being rolled out to remove bottlenecks, ensure seamless movement of traffic, and collection of user fee through RFID on the national highway corridors is to be extended to state highways.
The e-tolling concept has been rolled out at the initiative of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to collect the user fee (toll) as per the notified rates.
