A farmers´ group from Marathwada has threatened to renew protest to press for the release of compensation for farmers, whose lands have been used for raising electric towers. In a memorandum submitted to state energy minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule during his recent tour to the city, farmers sought time for discussing the long-pending demand. Group leader Jayaji Suryawanshi said the minister assured them a meeting would be held.
