A Bengaluru-based alternative energy firm has submitted the detailed project report (DPR) for the the State´s first floating solar power station on water, to come up on Nittur Lake in Gubbi taluk of Tumakuru district. Enzen Global Solutions Pvt Ltd (EGSPL), in a tie-up with French company Ciel et Terre (CeT), has submitted the DPR to Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL). CeT has pioneered the setting up such floating solar farms in France, Japan, US, and UK. It is likely that EGSPL is the sole company which has submitted the DPR. Interestingly, in KREDL´s list (on its website) of about 90 companies proposing to undertake various projects to generate solar energy, EGSPL is the only company mentioned in its page on innovative projects.
