Goa government has proposed to increase the budget of the Goa state infrastructure development corporation (GSIDC) to Rs 700 crore which is almost three times of the previous year. A budgetary allocation of Rs 325 crore has been earmarked under roads and bridges. The government is taking up the construction of six-lane bridge across the river Zuari with assistance from the government of India at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore. In the sewerage and sanitation sector, an amount of Rs 92 crore is proposed in the next financial year.
