The Government of Gujarat has proposed to set up a multi-modal logistics park (MLP) in the Dahej-I Industrial Estate in order to cater to diverse cargo and warehousing needs at the Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR) in Dahej. Spread over 72 hectare in Vagra taluka of Bharuch district, 35 hectare will be dedicated to solid cargo handling. The remaining 37 will be used for liquid cargo. Excluding the land cost, Rs 2 billion is proposed for the first phase which will cover the 35 hectare. The cost of land allotted in Dahej PCPIR is Rs 1,680 per square metre. By this estimate, the land parcel will cost a little over than Rs 1.2 billion. While Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) will provide land, Container Corporation of India (Concor) will develop infrastructure and provide services for the park.
