Madhya Pradesh government would prepare a scheme in association with GAIL to start the supply of piped domestic gas to the residents of Bhopal-Mandideep.
Recently, the state urban administration and development Minister Babulal Gaur discussed this project with the officials of GAIL. Bhopal city Mayor Krishna Gaur and Bhopal Municipal Corporation commissioner Vishesh Garhpale also participated in the discussion.
Bhopal Municipal Corporation would extend every possible assistance for the project, Minister Gaur said.
In order to set up mother station of the scheme, the minister directed corporation’s officers to identity suitable land. She directed corporation’s officers to coordinate with GAIL officers to start the project soon.
The minister informed that besides domestic, piped gas will be used by commercial and industrial establishments.
Possibility of accidents is nil in its use. Mayor Gaur said that accidents are possible during storage and transportation of LPG cylinders. Use of piped gas and CNG is more convenient in view of increasing population of Bhopal.
