Falling iron ore volumes has slowed the growth of cargo handled by the country´s 13 major ports in the April-November period. The cargo volume handled, at 397 MT, rose 3.32 per cent during April to Nov 15. The cargo growth was 5.20 per cent, at 384 MT in April-Nov 2014. However, Mormugao, VO Chidambaranar and Kolkata port trusts outpaced the sector.
