The Haryana government has awarded 151-km long North-South Corridor in the state on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) pattern. This project would se­rve as major connectivity link between States like Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra and North-Indian States of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

This Corridor will start from Rai Malikpur on Rajasthan border and would cross through Nangal Chaudhary-Narnaul-Mahendergarh-Dadri-Bhiwani-Rohtak-Jind-Kaithal-Pehowa-Ambala. The North-South Corridor was taken up by Haryana Government with support from Planning Commission and Department of Economic Affairs as a project with projected Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support to the tune of 33 per cent of total project cost. This road connects NH-8 at Kotputli in Rajasthan to NH-1 at Ambala in Haryana.
