Capt. & Squadron Leader Ajay Chauhan (Retd.) is Director of Civil Aviation, Government of Gujarat and former ADC to the President of India. He has around 25 years experience in the aviation sector.
He has been working as Head of the Department for Civil Aviation Sector for Gujarat since 2004. He has also been CEO of Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company, GUJSAIL, Ahmedabad from 2010. Ajay has been a Director on the board of GUJSAIL, Dholera International Airport, Gujarat Tourism Project Development Company, and Accountable Manager for VVIP operations & maintenance of the State Government for the DGCA. Apart from his professional achievements, he has also worked as a social worker with ´Homes of Hope-´ foster family agency in the year 2002-2003.
From 1998-2002, he was working in the Office of the President of India, handling diplomatic, administrative and operational affairs. In the Indian Air Force (IAF), he was a fully operational pilot, and worked in different managerial capacities (material, logistics, administrative, operation and disaster management functions) in the year 1993-2002.
