In Hyderabad, the rain-battered road between St AnnÂ’s School (Secunderabad) and Uppal junction will be repaired by spending Rs 2 crore, the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) has stated. HMR Managing Director NVS. Reddy has asked engineers of the Roads & Buildings Department of HMR to immediately take up the required repairs. HMR owns the road.
Condition of the road has turned bad to worst due to the ongoing metro rail works. R&B was told to complete road restoration works opposite St. AnnÂ’s School, St. JohnÂ’s Church/ISKCON junction and Sangeet junction in the next one week. The department has been asked to coordinate with GHMC to raise the road level and provide proper slope to tackle the water stagnation near Habsiguda junction and also complete black topping within a day.
It can also initiate permanent measures like constructing storm water drains in the area. The L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (HMR) is to complete water pipeline and electrical poles shifting in the next four days. It was asked to fill up potholes from Sangeet junction to Oliphanta junction and shift water pipeline and complete underground cabling work between Mettuguda and Alugadda Bavi in the next 10 days.
