In Hyderabad, with the entire Fever Hospital road on the verge of collapse, the municipal authorities have decided to take up re-construction work necessitating traffic restrictions on the roads leading to the hospital.
Hyderabad city police said that the work is necessitated by the collapse of the road in the adjoining lane of Fever Hospital, a few months ago and the entire Fever Hospital road may collapse at any time, city police said.
The traffic police, GHMC and the RTC conducted joint inspections of the surrounding areas for diverting the traffic to enable the GHMC to go ahead with the repair work. The road leading from Fever Hospital junction towards Tilaknagar railway bridge had also collapsed, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) CV Anand said.
The diversions at the junction will start from March 5 and the GHMC will complete the work at the earliest and the traffic police will monitor the work,Â’ Anand said. Police advised people to choose alternative routes and avoid Fever Hospital junction.
