The India Pavilion at the event features over 10 leading Indian companies and more than 20 industry delegates, showcasing advanced technologies, engineering capabilities and expertise across the nuclear sector.

As India prepares to make nuclear energy a key component of its clean energy transition, the world’s fastest-growing major economy is strongly represented at the ongoing World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) 2025 in Paris.

The India Pavilion at WNE 2025, a joint initiative by the industry chamber, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and the Embassy of India in Paris, was inaugurated on Wednesday by Sanjeev Singla, Ambassador of India to France, and Sylvie Bermann, President of WNE.

The pavilion features more than 10 leading Indian companies and over 20 industry delegates showcasing advanced technologies, engineering capabilities and nuclear sector expertise. This strong participation reflects India’s growing commitment to international collaboration and its focus on nuclear energy as a pillar of national energy security.

In his address, Ambassador Singla highlighted India’s robust economic growth and reiterated the importance of nuclear energy in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047. He encouraged Indian industries to forge global partnerships and explore new business opportunities with international firms, particularly those from France.

Speaking at the occasion, Bermann commended India’s strong presence at WNE 2025 and reaffirmed her support for future collaborations with Indian companies.

The participation of firms such as NTPC, BHEL, Kirloskar, Larsen & Toubro, Spectrum, Core Energy, Enpro, Aruna Steels, Hylner and Boron reflects India’s industrial strength and readiness to integrate with the global nuclear supply chain.

India is looking to build 24 small modular nuclear reactors by 2030, with ₹200 billion allocated in the Union Budget 2025-26 towards the Nuclear Energy Mission. This initiative aims to develop indigenous reactor technologies and strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities.

The industry delegation at WNE 2025 is part of the industry chamber CII’s broader effort to promote international partnerships and represent India’s nuclear industry on global platforms. Both Ambassador Singla and CII confirmed their commitment to ensuring larger participation at WNE 2027 to consolidate India’s presence in the global nuclear energy ecosystem.
