The new services strengthen Navi Mumbai International Airport’s position as a complementary hub to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
IndiGo, India’s largest airline by passenger volume and fleet size, has announced new domestic routes and frequency additions from the recently inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), reinforcing the airport’s role as a complementary hub to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
The expansion is part of IndiGo’s broader strategy to strengthen regional connectivity.
From December 26, IndiGo will operate five weekly flights between Navi Mumbai and North Goa. Services from NMIA will depart at 1245 hrs and arrive in Goa at 1345 hrs, while return flights will leave Goa at 1415 hrs and reach NMIA at 1520 hrs.
Daily services linking Navi Mumbai with Coimbatore and Chennai will begin on December 29. Flights to Coimbatore will depart NMIA at 0900 hrs and arrive at 1045 hrs, with return services leaving Coimbatore at 1115 hrs and landing in Navi Mumbai at 1305 hrs. Chennai-bound flights will depart NMIA at 1940 hrs and arrive at 2135 hrs, while return services from Chennai will leave at 0610 hrs and reach NMIA at 0815 hrs.
On December 30, IndiGo will introduce five weekly flights between Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. Services from NMIA will depart at 1500 hrs and arrive at 1605 hrs, while return flights from Vadodara will leave at 1640 hrs and reach NMIA at 1745 hrs.
These additions follow IndiGo’s earlier announcement of ten inaugural routes from NMIA, underlining the airport’s growing importance as a strategic aviation gateway.
