Miniature marvels, metro milestones, and mega tunnelling tech anchor the state-owned company’s future-ready rail pitch.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna public sector enterprise (PSE) under the Ministry of Railways, is showcasing its engineering capabilities at the 16th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025, being held from October 15–17 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Railways, IREE is Asia’s largest platform for cutting-edge railway technology and innovation.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, while RVNL’s stall was inaugurated by SC Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, alongside directors and senior officials from the railway fraternity.

RVNL’s display features miniature models of some of India’s most iconic infrastructure projects, including the new Pamban Bridge, a cable-stayed rail bridge, and the tunnel boring machine (TBM) used in the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail link. The stall also includes photographs from the inauguration of the Pamban Bridge by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting RVNL’s role in delivering complex, high-impact projects on tight timelines.

“RVNL is proud to represent India’s engineering excellence at IREE 2025,” said Jain. “As the nation undertakes one of the world’s most ambitious infrastructure transformations, RVNL continues to deliver technically advanced and sustainable railway projects that connect people, strengthen logistics, and power economic growth.”

The PSU is also highlighting its adoption of advanced construction technologies, including TBM systems, and its expanding footprint in metro rail execution. RVNL is currently executing metro projects in ten cities across India and has diversified into broader infrastructure domains under its ‘All Infra’ mandate.

With over 157 completed projects spanning more than 16,500 km—including several executed through special purpose vehicles (SPVs) under the public-private partnership (PPP) model—RVNL has evolved from a rail-focused entity to a multi-sector infrastructure player. It has consistently earned an ‘Excellent’ rating from the Department of Public Enterprises for 14 consecutive years.
