In the next three to four years, diversified group Jakson Power Solutions is to invest about Rs 750 crore primarily in its solar business. Besides solar energy, the firm would be investing in EPC, generating sets and hospitality, where its foray is likely to happen by the end of this year.
Jakson Power Solutions Managing Director Sameer Gupta said that the company intends to make investments of about Rs 750 crore.
The company has made invested around Rs 300 crore in nearly last two years. Already, the company has a 20 mw solar power project in Rajasthan and plans are on the anvil to increase the generation capacity to 100 mw within three years. On plans to enter the hospitality sector, Gupta said the company is building three small hotels — each having about 100 rooms — in upcoming industrial towns.
Two hotels are coming up in Maharashtra and Gujarat while the location for the third one is yet to be decided, he added. The first hotel is likely to be ready by December this year, Gupta noted. Besides, the company is exploring opportunities in the solar segment overseas, including in Africa and the Middle East.
The Rs 1,350 crore value company’s aim is to become Rs 2,500 crore company at least in the next three to four years, he said.
