Jharkhand to get another 3,000 km rural roads

The Union government has agreed to sanction another 3,000 km rural roads to Jharkhand under the central scheme, Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the next financial year.

A team of Uniion government of Rural Development Department expressed satisfaction with the State over the performance of PMGSY during the regional review meeting of east zone that started on November 29 in Ranchi.

At the review meeting, officials from the rural development and rural works department of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha were here to give a presentation about the status of implementation of PMGSY, the rural road scheme in their respective states.
