The Bangalore-based telecom products manufacturer Kavveri Telecom has acquired the US-based WPCS International’s wireless communications division, which makes solutions used by police officers, firemen and other emergency services. This strengthens its wireless solutions portfolio and gives its telecom products a strong push into the US markets, say analysts. WPCS International has operations in Lakewood, New Jersey and Hartford in Connecticut and this acquisition will provide Kavveri with a range of wireless systems solutions in addition to its existing products portfolio. Kavveri makes cell phone tower antennas, Radio Frequency components, repeaters and other types of telecom products. WPCS International provides infrastructure for companies in the energy and utility sector, healthcare and public services organisations worldwide.
