The Kerala government has allotted Rs 35 crore for the repair of roads, damaged in the recent monsoon in Thiruvananthapuram distict, The amount has been allotted for taking up 449 works in various parts of the district, Kerala PWD Minister VK Ebrahim Kunju said in Thiruvananthapurm.
The Minister said that the government has identified the most damaged roads in Kunchalummoodu area in the Karamana-Poojappura stretch, Chiramukku-Iranimuttam, G K Junction-Airport Road, Vijayamohini Mill-Punnakkamukal Road and the stretch between Nedumangad and Paruthipally. Road works had begun and the contractors would be asked to take up the repair works of roads that come under the guarantee period.
