Kerala Minister for Ports and Fisheries K Babu informed that the state cabinet cleared the proposal to set up a maritime board in the state and also approved the draft for a maritime board Bill.
The proposed maritime board will subsume the entities of the department of ports, Kerala State Maritime Development Corporation and Kerala Maritime Society, the minister said.
