Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department is taking all efforts to improve the condition of roads in the state and complete the ongoing repairing works of roads without any delay and compromise on quality. The act is on by keeping in view of the assembly election scheduled at the end of this year.
The State Public Works Minister Nagendra Singh has directed that urban roads in the state must be kept in good shape. If needed, additional budget will be made available for this, he has said.
No road should have any pothole and also not deteriorate even during rainy season, said Singh while giving direction to the officials of his department.
He also assures that engineers doing outstanding work will be felicitated. In a move to speed up the road repairing works and clears the glitches, the Minister directed that senior officers will undertake spot inspections of roads in future, during which no negligence will be tolerated.
This year 92 works of roads measuring 801.35 kilometers have been sanctioned under plan head of capital sector. Out this works are underway on 50 of these roads.
