Investors in Mihan can expect better times as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has decided to supply power to the area. Presently, Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) is buying power from Indian Electricity Exchange on day-ahead basis to supply it to Mihan. The rates at the exchange vary every day and every hour. Now, MSEDCL will supply the area power for one year at a stable rate.
While MSEDCL´s rate of supply is Rs 3.25 per unit, the rate at which Mihan enterprises will get power will be determined by Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC). The rate will be a little higher as transmission charges, the burden of transmission & distribution losses, etc, will be added to Rs 3.25 per unit.
