An operator for Variety Square multi-level parking is being finalised by the Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT). With a contract of 10 years, Ashfaq Ali Ramazan Ali, who has bagged the contract, will be paying a royalty of Rs 75 million per annum and it will increase by 15 per cent every year. The parking charges are to be decided by the operator. The eight-storey structure has the accommodating space for 72 cars with 18 levels for four cars on each level. Due to the unavailability of an operator and lack of response, the multi-level parking plaza was shut down since October 2016.
