The Planning Commission has granted 'in principle' approval to 25 projects against the 56 road project proposals put forth by the North Eastern Council (NEC). In addition, the proposal for development of five airports including Guwahati, Jorhat, Imphal, Barapani and Dibrugarh is under examination for approval by the Planning Commission.
