The review reveals that the State government has envisaged a new scheme named SHDP to improve all State High Ways to 2 lane standards.
Target has been set to improve 2,158 kms of road with a cost involvement of around Rs 3,000 crore during 12th Plan period. It has been decided that the projects will be undertaken either on P1 Contract basis, or on EPC mode depending upon the project cost.
