The Rajya Sabha standing committee, in its 200th report on development of highways in Kerala, has blamed the Kerala government for bad roads in the state. The committee has submitted its report before the Rajya Sabha.
The Committee has said that the government should understand that the desired results in developmental activities cannot be achieved with half-hearted measures.
The panel headed by Sitaram Yechury also noted that NHAI had already incurred an expenditure of Rs 9.50 crore for establishing the paraphernalia for taking up NH widening activities during the period and it also has to bear the brunt of cost escalation.
