Pawan Hans will tie up with Airbus to develop a MRO unit at its Juhu base. ‘We are in discussions with Airbus. Development of MRO is in line with the government’s Make in India initiative,’ said Pawan Hans chairperson B P Sharma. Pawan Hans operates a mix of around 50 Dauphin and Bell helicopters.
It carries airframe and engine overhaul checks for its choppers in Juhu. Sharma said Pawan Hans will be able to attract business from other customers as the Airbus tie up will bring certification and technology.
