A new port in Karnataka´s Honnavar has been planned by the state government at a cost of Rs 600 crore under public-private partnership (PPP) model. Foundation stone to the port will be laid in November next. The state government also plans to build a protection wall along its coastline at a cost of Rs 950 crore.
