RB (erstwhile Reckitt Benckiser), world’s leading consumer health and hygiene company, announced the commission of its first solar-powered factory in the city of Mysore as part of its project Greenathon. The factory running on "green power" is an extension to RB’s continuous efforts to reach its worldwide sustainability targets. It meets 75 per cent of its energy needs from solar energy and aims to be the first factory running on 100 per cent green power in India, within couple of years.
