Reliance Industries and BP Plc on August 23 have announced that they have discovered a new gas condensate off the east coast of India in the Cauvery basin.
The companies said that the discovery is situated 62 kilometre from the coast in the Cauvery Basin and is the second gas discovery in the block.
Energy conglomerate Reliance is the operator of the block with a 70 per cent stake and the British oil company BP has a 30 per cent share in the bloclk, say media reports.
