Reliance Infrastructure has commissioned a new 400-kV transmission line in Gujarat, making this the company's fifth functional line. The 140-km long double circuit line between Ranchodpura (Vadavi) and Zerda (Kansari) is part of the Western regional system strengthening (WRSS) project and connects key business centres in the region, the company said. The 1,500-km WRSS is the country's first 100 per cent privately owned transmission project on a build, own, operate and maintain basis being executed at a cost of Rs 1,400 crore.
