The Forum of Regulators (FoR) is to issue guidelines for development of off-grid renewable energy (OGRE) projects with a capacity of up to 300 MW. Off-grid renewable energy projects are standalone systems generating electricity from renewable energy sources. The FoR’s guidelines are termed as a boost to OGREs. The FoR’s guidelines would also come in handy for electricity regulatory commissions to determine tariff in such projects.
