Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has enhanced its presence on the Indian coast by adding Kattupalli port in Tamil Nadu and Visakhapatnam port in Andhra Pradesh for its SMILE service, a state-run company said. In addition to the coastal trade, the service would also cater to the trade from Kattupalli and Visakhapatnam to Gulf and vice-versa and also Far East and Europe via transshipment.
The SMILE service is a dedicated service offered by Shipping Corporation of India having 3 x 1,600-TEU Indian flag vessels, catering to the coastal trade on the west coast of India as well as the Gulf markets.
