Asian Development Bank (ADB) has sanctioned Rs 1,800 crore for development of roads and bridges in Manipur. The proposal for development of six roads has been sent to ADB. The six road project include 110-km long Imphal-Moreh Road on NH-2; 85-km long road from Imphal to Wangjing, Heirok and Khudengthabi; 34-km long ring road in Greater Imphal; road from Imphal to Kangchup, Tamenglong, Tousem and Haflong; 197-km long Imphal-Jiribam Road (NH-370; 160-km long road from Imphal to Ukhrul, Konkan and Thana; and 120-km long road from Imphal to Moirang, Wangoo, Churachandour and Behiang.
Mission Leader of South-Asian Sub-Regional Economic Cooperative (SASEC), Asian Development Bank Hiroaki Yamaguchi has also arrived at Imphal.
