The company has also reiterated its commitment to further integrate nanotechnology, drones, and AI-driven agricultural solutions to transform India’s agriculture and food value chain.

IFFCO, the world’s leading cooperative in terms of its contribution to GDP, has reported a pre-tax profit of ₹38.11 billion for FY 2024-25, marking another year of strong financial performance. Sales of nano fertilisers surged by 47 per cent, with the company selling 365 million bottles compared to 248.95 million in the previous fiscal. Total turnover for the period stood at ₹412.44 billion.

Chairman Dileep Sanghani highlighted that the company had consistently registered profits exceeding ₹30 billion for three consecutive financial years. He also noted that IFFCO has rewarded its members with a 20 per cent dividend on paid-up share capital for 23 years in a row, reinforcing its commitment to equitable and sustainable growth.

Nano fertilisers remain a core focus for the IFFCO, with strong support from the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers. Extensive awareness campaigns and research efforts have enhanced adoption among farmers.

Of the 365 million bottles sold in FY2024-25, 268 million were IFFCO Nano Urea Plus (liquid), while 97 million were IFFCO Nano DAP (liquid), reflecting year-on-year sales growth of 31 per cent and 118 per cent, respectively. This sales volume is equivalent to 1.2 million metric tonnes (MT) of conventional urea and 485,000 MT of conventional diammonium phosphate (DAP).

Growth in Speciality Fertilisers and Bio-Fertilisers

IFFCO’s water-soluble fertilisers (WSF), speciality fertilisers, and Sagarika Granule fertiliser recorded sales of 192,000 MT. WSF and speciality fertiliser sales reached 130,000 MT, up 2 per cent year-on-year.

Sales of Sagarika Liquid fertiliser rose 33 per cent to 11.55 million litres, while Sagarika Granule sales climbed 28 per cent to 68,000 metric tonnes. Bio-fertiliser sales increased 35 per cent to 8.61 million litres, demonstrating growing demand for sustainable agricultural solutions.

New Product Launches and Agricultural Innovation

US Awasthi, Managing Director, announced that IFFCO will soon introduce Nano NPK fertiliser in granular form for soil application in basal doses. Enriched with magnesium, sulphur, zinc, and copper, this innovation aims to boost crop productivity and minimise nutrient loss, reducing reliance on traditional chemical fertilisers.

Alongside Liquid Nano Urea Plus and Liquid Nano DAP, these new products will enhance nutrient-use efficiency, promoting balanced soil nutrition. Additionally, nano zinc and nano copper fertilisers in 100ml liquid form will be launched to meet essential micro-nutrient needs.

The company reiterated its commitment to further integrate nanotechnology, drones, and AI-driven agricultural solutions to transform India’s agriculture and food value chain.

IFFCO’s success with nano fertilisers has drawn international attention, with countries including Brazil, Kenya, and the US expressing interest in adopting nanotechnology-driven agricultural solutions. The cooperative has expanded its global footprint to over 40 countries, with its fertilisers being utilised in the UK, Brazil, Slovenia, Mauritius, Zambia, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
