Sourav Ganguly, Indian Cricket’s ‘Dada’, Named JAKSON Group’s First Brand Ambassador

The company said its decision was inspired by the former Indian cricket team skipper’s transformative leadership and his knack for redefining benchmarks.

Noida‑based energy and infrastructure conglomerate JAKSON Group has announced former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly as its first brand ambassador. The company said the “strategic partnership” with the national sporting icon aligns with India’s renewable energy ambitions and JAKSON’s commitment to innovation, scale, and sustainable solutions.

Fondly called ‘Dada’ (big brother) by fans, Ganguly captained the Indian team for five years, from 2000 to 2005. Following his retirement, he also served as President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 2019 to 2022.

The company said its decision to onboard Ganguly was inspired by his transformative leadership and ability to redefine benchmarks.

Founded in 1947, JAKSON has diversified from diesel generator manufacturing into distributed energy, solar power, renewable energy, green molecules, alternative fuels, and energy storage systems, alongside metro, electrical, water, and civil engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services. In FY2024-25, the company reported operating revenue exceeding ₹5 billion.

Commenting on the partnership, Ganguly said, “JAKSON’s vision across the entire value chain of distributed power, solar energy, green molecules, and infrastructure is both timely and impactful. As part of this association, Ganguly will represent the group across brand campaigns and strategic initiatives, amplifying its vision of enabling a cleaner and more sustainable energy ecosystem.
