Subsidiary of State-owned SBI, State Bank of Mysore (SBM) will open 101 branches in the country on October 5 to commemorate its centenary celebrations this year. It will
open seven new branches in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Karnataka on October 5.
A press release by the bank said in Mangalore that the bank to give focused attention to NRIs, the bank will be opening a specialised NRI branch at Chilimbi in Mangalore on that day.
Six more new branches of SBM will be opened in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on that day. The new branches will be located at Subrahmanya, Melkar, Vittla and Kadaba in Dakshina Kananda district; and in Byloor and Tekkate in Udupi district, it said.
