MP Shobha Karandlaje has accused the Karnataka state government of failure to increase power production and ensure its proper distribution.´Even though parts of the state face drought, farmers have to bear the burden of power shortage as well. The problem could be solved only if the state became self-reliant in power production. The state has completely failed to check farmer suicides. There has also been discrimination in distribution of relief to them,´she has alleged.
