Airbus upbeat on India demand
In the face of financial woes creeping across its airline sector, Airbus is sticking to upbeat forecasts for aircraft demand in India. The European planemaker recently said in Singapore that there is a lot of growth. The Indian aviation industry lost a combined $2 billion last year and all but unlisted IndiGo - an Airbus customer - lost money, complaining of high taxes on jet fuel, expensive airports and subsidies to state carrier Air India.

AI clears its major share of dues to Delhi, Hyd airports
Air India has cleared a large chunk of its dues to GMR-led operators of Delhi and Hyderabad airports, with the latest instalment of Rs 415 crore being paid a few days ago. A GMR spokesperson said that Air India has made large payments over the last two months to clear the outstanding dues to the GMR Group. GMR is hopeful that Air India will clear the remaining dues in an expeditious manner to reach a regular payment status.

Air India concerned over FDI in aviation
