The Karnataka government will upgrade 12 roads in Bengaluru under the TenderSURE project as of now, sources in the Urban Development Department (UDD) have said. The roads include Church Street, Commercial Street, Brigade Road, Lavelle Road, Infantry Road and Queen´s Road.

Rs 17,802 cr spent on road works in Bangalore
The Bangalore City Corporation has spent Rs 17,802 crore on asphalting roads, said Yediyur councillor NR Ramesh. Speaking at the council meeting, Ramesh said that from 2003 to 2007, the then Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) had spent Rs 6,460.76 crore. Interestingly, there were only three zones at the time. Five more zones were added in 2007 and the BMP became BBMP or Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike. During the period (2007-10), when the administrator was in charge of BBMP, it spent Rs 8,798
Govt prepares waste management plan
Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar prepared plans to set up a modern and scientific waste management system in Bangalore. The plan, which aims to set up one processing unit in each of Bangalore’s 28 assembly constituencies, aims to decentralize waste processing in the long-term.
