BHEL bags order from Railways for solar power plant
Power equipment major BHEL has said that it has bagged an order from Indian Railways for installing 2 MW rooftop solar photovoltaic systems at Diesel Locomotive Modernisation Works (DMW) in Patiala. BHEL´s scope of work is valued at Rs 1,360 crore for setting up an 800 kV, 6,000 MW HVDC link between Western Region Grid (Raigarh, Chhattisgarh) and Southern Region Grid (Pugalur, Tamil Nadu).
