The first super-critical thermal power plant of 660 MW capacity of BHEL - Western Region, at NTPC Mouda plant, is now ready for commercial operation. It has completed the stringent statutory requirement of continuous running for 72 hours at full load (MCR) without a single tripping. The testing was completed in the wee hours of January 5, 2017.

BHEL commissions 600-MW thermal plant in Telengana
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has commissioned a 600 MW coal-based thermal power plant in Telangana. The unit has been commissioned at the upcoming 2x600 MW Singareni Thermal Power Project (TPP) located in Adilabad district.
BHEL bags order for 800MW power plant in TN
BHEL has bagged an order from the TN government to set up the state´s first 800 MW thermal power plant. The North Chennai Supercritical TPS Stage III is located in Thiruvallur district. The letter of award for the project was handed by CM Jayalalithaa to Atul Sobti, Chairman & MD, BHEL.
