The reuse and recycle of wastewater is becoming important policy agenda in India with growing water scarcity in the urban areas. However, lack of proper infrastructure for transporting wastewater to the treatment plant and treated water is a major issue.
Bhubaneswar plans flyover in mishap zone
To ease traffic burden on the highway stretch between Kolathia Square and Khandagiri Square in Bhubaneswar, the city police have discussed with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and proposed to build a flyover on the stretch. The development takes place following an accident on December 1, om which three were killed.
World Bank, ADB to give $313 mn to cyclone-hit Odisha
To take up restoration and rehabilitation activities in cyclone Phailin hit areas, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank have assured a financial assistance of $313 million to Odisha government. Representatives of the two international funding agencies met the State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the capital Bhubaneswar on November 13.

The recent Phailin caused hindrances on the road leading to the railway station in Bhubaneswar are yet to be cleared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Bhubaneswar to get 3 flyovers at Rs 140 cr
To tide over the traffic snarls in Bhubaneswar, the Odisha government has decided to construct three more flyovers at a cost of Rs 140 crore at Housing Board Square, Nalco Square and Damana Square. While the flyover at Housing Board Square would be built at a cost of nearly Rs 74 crore, the overbridges at Nalco Square and Damana would be commissioned at around Rs 66 crore each.
Flight operations resumed to Bhubaneswar
Jet Airways has stated that its services to Bhubaneswar and Ranchi have been disrupted due to Cyclone Phailin, say reports from Delhi.
