Widening of one of the Bangalore's key roads Bannerghatta Road will start within two months. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will hold a meeting with the property owners over land acquisition on October 19. On October 5, Bangalore Mayor BS?Sathyanarayana inspected the road.

Owner of a commercial complex in Bangalore's busy Majestic area, has reportedly agreed to part with 7,000 -square-foot land, for road widening near Shantala Silk Junction, near the city railway and Kempegowda Bus-station area. The narrow bend near the Shantala Silk Junction is resulting in traffic congestion at peak hours. Owner of the City Centaur Shopping Complex HM Nataraj said he had agreed to give the land so that traffic congestion on the road can be eased.

Contractors show no interest over Blore road projects

Media reports say that contractors are not enthusiastic to take up upgradation of roads planned at Rs 72 crore by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The work comprises upgradation of seven major roads, including Residency and Richmond Road in the heart of the Indian IT City. Although BBMP and Karnataka government are eager to provide quality roads in the city through 'TenderSure' initiative by integrating all the civic agencies, there are no takers for the project.
