By March 2014, Punjab is all set to complete the Rs 3,284 crore project of four and six laning of four major roads of 400 km length. This was informed by State PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon in Chandigarh on May 15.

C’garh UT admin seeks 3-tier road link to Mohali airport
A three-tier road connectivity to Chandigarh from the upcoming international airport in Mohali has been demanded by UT administration and the matter has been taken up with the high powered inter-state coordination committee constituted by the Government of India. Model solar cities
The Union New and Renewable Energy Ministry is to develop 41 cities, including Chandigarh, Nagpur, Mysore and Gandhinagar, as model solar cities. The list of proposed solar model cities also includes Gandhinagar, Nagpur and Chandigarh. The Ministry has approved the master plans for the 28 cities and the project installations have already started in a few cities, the Ministry said in a release.
