The civic administration of Kochi district is taking steps to acquire land for the Kochi metro rail project, which reqÂuires approximately 40 heÂctare. It is learnt that addi-tional land would be acquired for conÂstructing a metro vill-age adjacent to the proposed coach-maintenance yard in near Aluva.
