The government has decided to fund up to 60 per cent of the R&D cost for developing indigenous low-cost electric technology that will help power two-, three-wheelers and commercial vehicles operating in public spaces, a move aimed at reducing pollution.
Ashok Leyland wins order to supply 2,610 buses to TN
Ashok Leyland has bagged an order to supply 2,610 buses for Tamilnadu government. The company, a leader in commercial vehicles and Hinduja Group company, has got the order from Institute of Road Transport (IRT) of the state. The Institute is the nodal organisation that procures buses for all transport corporations in Tamil Nadu.

The Rajasthan government is mulling over levying entry tax on commercial vehicles entering the boundary of Jaipur municipality to fund its ambitious project of Jaipur Metro.
