Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) expects to commission its oil refinery at Paradip soon as 96 per cent of the construction work at the project is already complete. The refinery is the company´s largest investment in a single project and is also the first zero-residue refinery of the country.

Nashik Phata flyover to be inaugurated on 22 January
After six monthsÂ’ delay, the much-awaited two-tier Nashik Phata flyover in Pune is finally expected to be inaugurated on 22 January 2014. The flyover is the first-of-its-kind project in India crossing the Pavana river at 206 m and rail overbridge (ROB) at 110 m.Built at an investment of around Rs 140 crore, the flyover is well connected to the IT hub at Hinjawadi and the upcoming Chakan airport.
Work on Mumbai’s Kherwadi flyover to take 18 months
In Mumbai, construction work on the much needed Kherwadi flyover on Western Express Highway (WEH) is all set to begin, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced. The construction on the flyover is to take at least 18 months.
Work on INS Vikrant 2nd phase to get under way in Kochi
For the second phase construction work on INS Vikrant ship carrier it has now been taken to the repair dock of the Cochin Ship Yard. For the first phase of the carrier construction the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has sanctioned Rs 3,261 crore.
Punjab to pace up work on National Highways
The State government of Punjab has put the construction work on Faridkot-Kotkapura and Shahkot-Moga- Ramgarh National Highway on fast track and orders have been issued to complete both roads by March next year.
