Delhi police have proposed a four-point proposal to decongest the stretch of NH-8 in the city due to major traffic snarls being faced by commuters because of construction of the Airport Express line along the arterial highway. Elevated road may decongest Delhi’s road
To decongest various arterial roads in south Delhi and cut down travel time, the Delhi government has decided to construct an elevated road to connect Chhatarpur with INA market. For this, the government is to carry out a feasibility study soon. The Delhi PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chouhan said the government has started the process of appointing a consultant to prepare the feasibility report for the project.
Coimbatore to get 2 subways to decongest roads
In Coimbatore, two new subways are being planned near Coimbatore main railway station and near Saibaba colony on NSR road to decongest the busy streets in the city. Tamil Nadu Highways Department will be in charge of building the pedestrian subway on State Bank Road near railway station while the corporation will execute the second subway near Saibaba colony.
