Board clears master plan for Vizhinjam port project
The director board of Vizhinjam International Seaport approved the master plan for the proposed Vizhinjam port project. The project authority has reportedly sent a copy of the master plan to the International Finance Corporation, which is doing the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) study for the project.
DMRC clears mono rail DPR
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has reviewed and approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the first monorail corridor from Shastri Park Metro Station to Trilokpuri in Delhi.
DMRC would implement the 11-km corridor in east Delhi and this would be integrated with three different lines of the existing Metro network. The Rs 2,235 crore corridor, which is expected to be completed by 2017, will have 12 stations and work on the project would start in the next couple of months.
Nalco mulls 1 mn t refinery in Gujarat
Aluminium major Nalco plans to set up a 1 million tonne per annum capacity alumina refinery in Gujarat at an investment of Rs 4,500 crore. The company is in the process of preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this purpose.
