Odisha Government gives in-principle approval for Dhamra Port expansion
Dhamra Port Company Ltd (DPCL) is an equal joint venture (JV) between the Tatas and Larsen & Toubro (L&T). DPCL is implementing the Dhamra port development project. The port has sought 745 acre of land to facilitate its second phase expansion. This project phase is likely to cost Rs 10,000 crore.
Dhamra Port takes steps for environment protection
Santosh Kumar Mohapatra, Chief Executive Officer of Dhamra Port Company (DPCL) said the port undertook several initiatives in the field of environment protection under the guidance of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). These include installation of special designed environment friendly and dark-sky friendly lighting system within the port premises
